Lossiemouth is a town built on fishing but with the decline of the industry the two basins of the harbour now have pontoons and pleasure craft from where you can take boat trips for diving or seal and dolphin watching.

The town is home to RAF Lossiemouth, a major air base from which operates the Tornado fighter jet and the Sea King search and rescue helicopters.


Apart from the many gems of golf courses in the area, this is an ideal base from which to enjoy the Malt Whisky Trail, with Speyside boasting the highest concentration of distilleries in the entire UK – and some of the finest Malts.
